How do we swim in UCPH Student Sports?
It is much easier to train effectively when you swim on a fixed team rather than just alone. Often you get the experience of being pulled into the line of other swimmers, because you just follow the rhythm on the course.
We have classes with teaching at many different levels. Read more under the level.
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Skilled
- Advanced
- Competition (read more here)
Several of the above levels may also have teams with a twist, e.g. mixed teams for experienced/experienced or teams where the focus is on swimming longer distances.
It is important that you choose classes according to content and your level. Read what you need to know in the specific classes in the specific definitions. The coach can move you to another level if you have chosen the wrong one
NEW NEW NEW - During the summer season we have 2 swimming clinics you can sign up for. What is it? Read here.
At UCPH Student Sports, social interaction is part of the training. This means that even though some people are more into swimming alone, we also cultivate the community. This means, among other things, that you get sparring partners, joint development and thus can use each other to get more out of the training.
Extra training
When you go to a class (intermediate-experienced) you have access to extra swimming on Saturdays.
It is in the swimming pool at NEXS on Saturday 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 May and 14, 21 and 28 June at the following times:
Intermediate - Saturday 13-14 - NEXS, Nørre Allé 51
Skilled/Advanced - Saturday 14-15 - NEXS, Nørre Allé 51
You will meet different coaches. Use the extra training to polish your style and maybe get a better fit.
